Key Features of the PMEGP Loan Scheme
Subsidy on Loan
Government offers up to 35% subsidy on project costs, depending on the applicant’s location (rural or urban) and category.
Interest Rate
Loans are provided at bank rates, with the subsidy reducing the effective cost for the applicant.
Eligible Sectors
Manufacturing, service, and trade sectors are eligible for the loan.
Loan Amount
Up to ₹25 lakh for the manufacturing sector and ₹10 lakh for the service sector.
Required Documents for Application
Identity Proof
Applicants need to provide a valid Aadhaar Card and PAN Card for identity verification. These documents ensure that the applicant’s identity is confirmed during the loan process.
Caste and Income Verification
Applicants from reserved categories must submit a caste certificate to avail specific benefits. An income certificate is also required to verify that the family income meets the eligibility criteria for PMEGP.
Bank Details
A copy of the applicant’s bank account passbook is needed to ensure proper financial documentation and to receive any funds or subsidies related to the project.
